Inspired by a drawing of a vintage apron, the reversible Chatterbox Apron features a sweetheart neckline and an umbrella hemline. The apron side panels are assembled first and inserted into the sides of the front panel and topstitched in place. Pockets are located on each side panel. The neck strap opens and closes with Velcro®. Use fabric ties or two-1 yd lengths of grosgrain ribbon for the apron strings. Decorate the apron center front and/or the pockets with appliques, monograms, or machine embroideries. Two-1 yd pieces of cotton fabric are required for this pattern, or just for fun, use a combination of coordinating fabrics for the neck trim and straps as well as the apron bodies.
